EA SPORTS Supercross Attracts Fans From 50 States and 26 Countries To Las Vegas

Monumental Season For The World's Fastest Growing Motor Sport

AURORA, Ill., May 11 - The final round of EA SPORTS Supercross Presented by Speed Stick in Las Vegas has evolved into a worldwide sporting event and the destination for motor sports enthusiasts. During this year's Las Vegas event, all 50 states were represented in ticket sales as well as 26 countries for the first time in the sport's 27-year history.

As the culminating round of the 16-event tour, Las Vegas sold 39,043 tickets, to watch the greatest supercross riders in the world duel in the desert. Built into the final Round is the Dave Coombs Sr. 125cc East/West Shootout where the top riders from the 125cc Eastern and Western Regional divisions compete for bragging rights to determine who the best 125cc rider is. The premier 250cc class annually crowns its champion in Las Vegas, and this year was a special one for Team Chevy Trucks Kawasaki's Ricky Carmichael, who won his first 250cc championship.

"We're completely thrilled with the worldwide turnout in Las Vegas for the final round of EA SPORTS Supercross," said Ken Hudgens, Vice President, Marketing, SFX Motor Sports. "The quality of the sport, talent of the riders and lure of Las Vegas has elevated the EA SPORTS Supercross finals beyond belief."
